- DON’T make clubhouse an audio version of Facebook: Take a Service Mindset
- Draft a compelling profile: provocative image, Keywords in Your First Three Lines, headers and emoticons, include your other social profiles. GIVE PEOPLE A HANDLE TO GRASP WHO YOU ARE!
- Customize Share Defaults: Once you schedule your Clubhouse rooms Clubhouse has an option to share it, tweet it and copy the link. If you use any of these share options, change the text and image. The defaults are generic and overexposed, so people will scroll past your post. Consider creating a template in Canva
- Experiment: just poke around, google a few articles for best use of Clubhouse, choose a few rooms to follow, a few profiles to follow and listen to a few talks to get a flavor
- Host your own talk: schedule ahead of time
- Make Your Own Club: after 3 talks

Because Clubhouse is so new it’s great to get in on the ground floor, an easy way to build a following if you’re a thought leader, entrepreneur or business and should prove useful for learning and building your network and knowledge.
Clubdeck (linked above) seems a far more effective way to host rooms and clubs, but the application is SO new there were only two, very brief, reviews I could find on the application neither of which addressed the applications security (we’re only talking about the 3rd party, desktop application here – NOT the phone Clubhouse app).
In fact, when I attempted to download and install Clubdeck on my PC, Microsoft immediately gave me a “Possible Malicious” warning. Because of that I wanted to know whether the 3rd party, desktop app was secure so ran it through two separate security checks. Both, including Microsoft’s own checker, stated that no malicious code was found at the time of my scan. Of course you should ALWAYS exercise your own discretion and validate programs before installing them on your computer, so please ensure you take precautions and exercise your own best judgment. The results of both scan are included here:
