It’s the middle of winter, you’re in the middle of the school year or your company’s busy season, or life is getting in the way… here’s your Top 5 for 5 to Stay Engaged and Move Forward No Matter What!
FlyLady is a WONDERFUL resource for a system to easily (-er than you’ve been doing) keep your house clean. And she’s where I first heard the idea, “Get dressed every morning, even if you don’t feel like it, even if you don’t have anything going on. Don’t forget your lace-up shoes.” Check her site out for LOTS of tips on organization and cleaning.
If you’re looking to make working out a bit easier on you check out the The 7-Minute Workout. This has been around for more than a decade, is scientifically proven to improve your health in only 7 minutes a day and is a great way to get in SOME exercise in a short amount of time.
Lately I’ve been infatuated with the idea of resistance band training. I originally came across the idea and some of the science on the X3 site. Even though this system is – in my opinion – overpriced; and there’s a good deal of criticism and even some accusations against the site originator’s veracity, the science of what he discusses holds up. And ANY exercise is better than none. Remember here, we’re looking for five easy ways for you to move the ball forward even in the middle of distractions and demotivation and simplifying things, but still using powerful techniques is paramount for times you’re feeling unfocused or unmotivated.
You can emulate the X3 system using resistance bands and a resistance band bar from Amazon for less than 1/5th of the cost X3 is charging! It’s not X3… it is similar and functions nearly identically.
And correction! I said in the video that I work out “one or two hours, three times a day,” I MEANT to say “I used to workout one or two hours, three times a WEEK”! Big difference 😉
Here’s a great article on Goal Setting.
