Vulnerability & Humility
Welcome Successes,
Do you share your personal struggles, goals & achievements at Life Success Engine as they occur?
I thought I’d share this interesting discussion, between myself and one long-time poster to the Forums on that very question:
She started: “Rarely.”
I asked her to tell me why not?
“Guess I’m still afraid of what others will think of me.”
I answered her:
“Real life is not made up only of positive feelings; only of feeling motivated and taking powerful action. There are times when all of us feel demotivated; have a hard time seeing past our fears, are worn out or feel like a failure.”
Apparently my words hit home for her. She responded:
“Thank you for that.
“I know it.
“I understand it.
“But more often than not I don’t acknowledge it because I’m too darned concerned about how I’m going to live up to my own standards and how I may appear to others.
“I wish these words were posted by my computer when I contemplated sharing my struggles and successes in real time:”
I responded to her, “Share your real life with LSE, not just the positive, strong side, but your weaknesses too; your doubts; the times you feel stuck or disempowered.
“Don’t make yourself a half-of-a-person while you’re here, denying the harder parts of being human; don’t force LSE to be a half-a-Web-site for you that’s only good for half of life…
“You’ll be missing at least half of the power, half of YOUR power.”
She responded, “I would have gained so much had I shared.
“The times I really feel like I am making a quantum leap difference in my life is when I take the risk and share my goals, thoughts, experiences, feelings & beliefs.
“The only times this Web site really worked well for me is when I put myself out there and made a connection with someone else as a result of the journey they shared.”
So, how about you, dear reader? Are you running around trying to pretend you’re half a person? Using Life Success Engine – a powerful and profound tool for your success – as half a Web site? Just sharing the positive for fear someone will discover (aghast ) that you’re… human?
You’re hurting yourself. Limping along on one leg.
Take the risk: open up yourself in a safe and powerful place – http://LifeSuccessEngine.com
