But it doesn’t take an organized 21-Day Challenge to reach success.  You can begin your goals anytime, anywhere, just by following what successful 21-Day Challengers do differently from those that fail to meet their goals!

 Here’s the Top-10 List that successful 21-Day Challengers do differently from those who don’t succeed:

10) Choose ONE thing to focus their Challenge on

Time and time again I’ve seen it: someone, disappointed with their life, choosing to try to overhaul their life… in 21 days.

In 10 years of doing Challenges I don’t remember even one of them succeeding.

Go deep, not wide.  Pick one goal that matters to your soul.  Rehaul your life, but do it one goal at a time and after you’ve gotten a success under your belt.  For now, just focus on one goal.

9) Just START.

Beyond picking the ONE thing you’ll set as your goal, the next step *sounds* easy and yet… trips up innumerable Challengers: Just start.  Time and time again I’ve seen it: Challengers stuck on planning, stuck on learning, stuck on dreaming, stuck on thinking…

All that’s fine, BUT… none of it beats just DOING.  Jump in, where you are, with the ACTION steps.    You really will figure it out later.  Just start.

8) Set SMART Goals

SMART is the well-known acronym for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time Limited.  It provides a quick, useful way to ensure you’ve set an effective, achievable goal.  There’s a reason the acronym has been around for decades… it works.

7)  Plan

You don’t have to have every step laid out in infinite details.  But by all means, get down what detail you can see.  Have at least a sketch of an idea for what steps you’ll be taking to success, and in what order.

6)  Focus mostly on the next step

Goals and plans are good, but step-by-step is really the only way you’ll get anywhere.  Focusing on the plan and future results, surprisingly, sabotages your ability to learn and adapt to present circumstances quickly.  Life moves.  To grow most quickly you’ll have to be willing to go off-road and grow with your challenge.

How will you reach large success!?  Nobody knows – because life changes and unexpected obstacles are encountered. No one – really – knows how they’ll get from here to success.  But can always take one more step closer.

5) Find support.

One of the most profound things successful Challengers take advantage of is support by seeking out friends and accountability partners to keep them on track.  The LSE Community is always there, 24/7, even if a Challenge isn’t going on.  Join LSE and begin getting the support you need, from 10s of people.

4) Manage yourself.

Frustration, fears and disappointments are part of just living, much less how they’re highlighted even more by setting your eye on a goal you deeply desire.  Your self talk – the messages you give yourself – are the strongest influence in both how you’re feeling AND how you’ll respond to those feelings.  Tell yourself “this is too hard, I’ll never succeed” and beyond feeling down, you probably won’t be able to muster up the energy to try.  Instead catch the negative self talk and replace it with positive self talk.  “I can.  I will.  I am.”, “I’ll figure it out.”, “What’s important is that I just take the next step.”

3) Focus on the “cans”.

“Failures” focus on what they “can’t” do.  They’ll focus it as “if only’s” and “one days”, but the focus is the same… what they’re NOT able to NOW.

No matter where you are, no matter what you’re facing, there ARE things you CAN do right now.  Focus on your “cans” and you’ll soon realize that the “can’ts” are rapidly disappearing.

2) Post daily, regardless of whether they’ve succeeded for the day or “failed”.

Posting to the LSE community daily – the process of daily holding yourself accountable for you action and results – accomplishes some of the most profound and necessary steps to reach any success: tracking action, comparing the results of their action, planning, exploring beliefs, making decisions and holding one’s self accountable.

It’s not that successful 21-Day Challenges simply succeed more on a daily basis.  A quick glance of either past or current Award recipients will show you that even the most stunningly successful Challenges are filled with set-backs, mistakes, “failure” and struggle.  But successful ChallengERs get their challengES out, on paper and think them through in a very tangible way.

And the #1 thing successful 21-Day Challengers do to reach success IS:

1) Commit to reaching their goal, not just “trying” for 21-Days

There’s a huge difference between committing to trying and committing to doing.

Once a commitment is made to reach a goal, the only question becomes “how will I?”  But until that specific commitment is made, the goal remains “will I?”.  There’s a HUGE difference between “how will I” and “will I”.

Don’t wait for the next 21-Day Challenge to commit to your success or begin it.  Join the community and gain the powerful support, direct one-on-one coaching and tangible aid that the community provides to you and your life’s dreams.  Follow the 10 steps above and you WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
